Joshua 24:23-25

²³ He continued, “Then put away the foreign gods from among you. Bend your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.” ²⁴ The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord, our God, and obey his voice.”

²⁵ So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day. He established statutes and ordinances for them in Shechem.
